Emperor Watch & Jewellery Limited
Emperor Watch & Jewellery Limited (SEHK: 887) is founded in 1942 by Albert Yeung. The company, as a member of Emperor Group, is a retailer of the world prestigious timepieces and a manufacturer of jewellery.[1] As of 2011, Cindy Yeung is the Managing Director. [2]
History
- In 1942, Yeung Shing officiated at the opening of Shing On Kee Watch Shop on Shanghai Street
- In 1964, Observatory Watch & Jewellery began business at 499 Nathan Road, Kowloon.
- In November1965, Emperor Watch and Jewellery Company was opened at the ground floor of Jade Mansion at the juncture of Nathan Road and Waterloo Road.
- In 1968,the Tsim Sha Tsui branch of Emperor Watch and Jewellery was opened at 81 Nathan Road,
- In 1972, Observatory Watch & Jewellery was appointed authorized retailer of Rolex and Omega.
- In 1992, the Emperor Watch and Jewellery branch in Central was opened..
- In 2004, Emperor Watch and Jewellery opened its new shop in Russell Street, Causeway Bay.
- In 2007, the flagship store in Oterprise Square at Tsim Sha Tsui was opened
- In 2008, the Company commenced dealing on the Main Board of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited. (SEHK: 887)
- On 28 February 2008, the Emperor Watch and Jewellery Rolex Boutique at No.8 Russell Street, Causeway Bay, was opened.[3]
- In 2011, the new Emperor Jewellery store opened at Hanley House, 68-80 Canton Road, Tsim Sha Tsui.[4]

On 22 Mar 2011 Emperor Watch & Jewellery announced its 2010 annual results for the year ended 31 December 2010, reporting revenue of approximately HK$4,095 million, a significant increase of 52.5%.[5]
